The smallest machine in the EPM range set to seven bar — the pressure most compressed air systems get by on, provided nothing on them explicitly demands more. It is at this setting that the 15 kW machine delivers the most air of all three versions.
Why 7 bar
At 7 bar the machine delivers up to 3,000 l/min and the inverter can pull it down to 750 l/min, a quarter of its output. Reset it to ten bar and delivery falls to 2,300 l/min — 23 % less air, plus roughly a fifth more consumption. On the 15 kW machine that price for pressure is the highest in the range.

Dimensions 1,200 × 800 × 1,100 mm, weight 480 kg, outlet R 1" and noise 66 dB(A) are identical at all three settings — it is one and the same machine.
How it differs from its neighbours
Its cabinet is the same as the 18.5 kW machine: 1,200 × 800 × 1,100 mm and 480 kg. The surcharge to SCR-18/7EPM therefore does not buy a bigger machine but 700 l/min more air in the same footprint — worth weighing up if the system is going to grow.
What is inside
Permanent magnet motor
Above IE4 level, oil-cooled, IP65 protection and no bearings to grease. On 15 kW it saves five to six percent against an IE2 motor — not once, but every hour.
Direct drive through a taper coupling
No belts, no gearbox. Tensioning and regular replacement disappear — and with them the downtime that would stop the whole workshop on a 15 kW machine.
Frequency inverter
Stepless regulation from 750 to 3,000 l/min, down to 25 % of output. It holds pressure to within ±0.1 bar and the start never exceeds the rated current.
Screw airend
A rotor profile developed in Japan and multi-point oil injection. Efficiency up to 16 % better than the previous generation, service life over 100,000 hours.
SCR9000 controller
Touchscreen, weekly schedule and operating log. The protections watch for overload, power failure and phase imbalance — worth having on 15 kW.
What the machine needs in the plant room
The machine needs 5,400 m³ of air an hour extracted — a fixed requirement for the smallest cabinet in the range, and in a small room it often becomes the constraint before the compressor itself does. The outlet is R 1", so one-inch pipe is enough; at 3,000 l/min, or 180 m³/h, the air is not yet being forced through it.

If you are not sure how much air you need, start from the comparison table for the whole the SCR-EPM range — every output and pressure is there side by side. Before you order the ten-bar version, walk round the machines in the workshop and check what each of them really needs. It is usually less than the plate says.
