Four models, stepless controlThe SPINN SPV range answers one question: what does a compressor do when nobody is drawing air. A fixed-speed machine idles and consumes. A machine with a variable speed drive slows down and makes exactly what the workshop uses.
Four models from 131 to 757 litres a minute. Each has a 200-litre receiver and a refrigerant dryer in one frame, so nothing has to be assembled piece by piece.
What sets SPINN SPV apart
Variable speed drive
The speed follows demand steplessly. Idling disappears — on fixed-speed machines it burns electricity without making any air. ABAC states a saving of up to 35 % against versions without a drive.
Exact pressure, not "just in case"
The drive holds the outlet pressure in a narrow band. You do not have to over-pressurise the compressor to survive a peak — and every extra bar costs roughly 7 % in consumption.
C43 block on V-belts
A screw block developed by ABAC, driven from the motor through V-belts. The belts are a part that gets tensioned and eventually replaced.
Infologic2 Connect
A controller with a colour display, machine monitoring and diagnostics. It tracks the 2,000 – 4,000 – 6,000 running-hour service intervals.
Dryer and receiver included
The refrigerant dryer and the 200-litre receiver are part of every model, not an extra. The air enters the pipework dry.
What is inside
Under the canopy sits the C43 screw block driven from the motor by V-belts, a refrigerant dryer and a central automatic condensate drain that does away with walking round the machine every day.
The whole set stands on a 200-litre receiver and measures 1,430 × 600 × 1,260 mm on all four models. The difference between them is inside, not in the footprint.

A drive does not save by running. It saves by knowing how to slow down. If your workshop draws the same amount all day, a drive saves little — the machine runs flat out anyway. It pays off where demand changes through the day. Work it out before you pay extra.

- When does a variable speed drive pay off?
- When air demand changes through the day. The drive lowers the speed instead of letting the machine idle. If the same job runs from morning to night with the same draw, a fixed-speed machine saves nearly as much and costs less to buy.
- What do the two numbers for output mean?
- That is the regulation range. The first figure is the minimum the machine drops to at low demand, the second is the maximum at peak. The wider the range, the bigger the swings in demand the machine covers.
- Why does the set have only a 200-litre receiver?
- Because the drive holds the pressure steadily and the vessel does not have to absorb the swings a fixed-speed machine creates. The set therefore takes up less space.
- How does it differ from the SPINN Mini range?
- Same canopy, same C43 block, same receiver and dryer — but SPINN Mini runs at fixed speed. SPV adds the variable speed drive and the Infologic2 Connect controller with a colour display.
- How does the warranty work?

- The 2.2 and the 3 kW are at 57 dB(A), the 4 kW at 58 and the 5.5 kW at 61. The difference between 57 and 61 decibels is roughly twice the noise, even though it does not look like it.
