Product detailed description
The entry model of the rangeEntry into the SPINN SPV range. The inverter keeps the speed precisely matched to what the workshop is currently consuming — from 131 to 293 litres per minute. A 200-litre air receiver and a refrigerant dryer are both integrated into the frame, and at 57 dB(A), it is, together with the 3 kW unit, the quietest machine in the range.
For smaller workshops and service shops where air is drawn irregularly — a moment of impact wrench, then nothing. That is exactly where the drive saves most.
What sets the SPV-2,2/10D-200 apart
Range 131–293 l/min
The lower figure is the one that matters. When the tools draw little, the machine drops to 131 l/min instead of idling.
The smallest power input in the range
Two point two kilowatts. For a workshop running one or two pneumatic tools, where paying for unused output makes no sense.
57 dB(A)
The quietest machine in the range, together with the 3 kW unit. The difference compared to the 5.5 kW unit is four decibels, which is audible in the workshop.
Dry air included
The refrigerant dryer is part of the set, not an extra. Air enters the pipework free of water.
What's inside
Under the canopy sits the C43 screw block driven from the motor by V-belts, a refrigerant dryer and a central automatic condensate drain.
Control is handled by the Infologic2 Connect unit with a colour display. It tracks the 2,000 – 4,000 – 6,000 running hours service intervals and allows machine monitoring and precise setting of the outlet pressure.

A range 67 l/min wider at the top comes with the SPV-3/10D-200 at the same noise level. If demand in your workshop does not fluctuate and a drive would not pay off, the same machines at fixed speed are in the ABAC SPINN Mini range. And where 230 V is enough, the ABAC SPINN.D range has them.
The upper figure says what the machine handles at peak. The lower one says how far it drops when nothing is happening — and that is where the saving is.

ABAC is an Italian compressor brand, founded in 1981 and part of the Atlas Copco Group since 2007. We carry machines from a carry-case compressor you lift with one hand, through workshop piston compressors, to industrial and screw machines for an entire hall.
Besides standard oil-lubricated machines, ABAC also makes oil-free compressors for paint shops and surgeries, soundproofed machines in an acoustic cabinet and engine-driven compressors for building sites. They are complemented by ABAC DRY refrigerated dryers, oils and service kits.

Intake is the air the pump draws in; less of it reaches the tool. For screw compressors the manufacturer states the delivery.
How to choose an ABAC compressor
1. Work out the air demand
Add up the consumption of all tools running at the same time and add a reserve. Compare it with the delivery, not the intake: on piston machines the delivery is roughly a quarter lower.
2. Match the running time
For work with breaks, a Line or Pro Line piston machine is enough. If air has to flow all shift long, choose ABAC Tech with an S1 motor or a screw compressor.
3. Check power and space
Smaller machines run from a 230 V socket, more powerful ones need a three-phase 400 V supply. In the code of an electric piston machine, M stands for a 230 V motor and T for 400 V.
4. Maintain regularly
On oil-lubricated machines, check the level in the sight glass and drain the condensate after work. ABAC piston pumps have service kits: the basic LK1 for yearly and the advanced PK1 for two-year maintenance.
Frequently asked questions
- Who makes ABAC compressors?
- ABAC is an Italian compressor brand founded in 1981. It is based in Robassomero near Turin and has been part of the Atlas Copco Group since 2007. Its production quality is backed by ISO 9001 certification.
- Piston or screw compressor?
- It depends on running time. A piston machine fills the receiver and rests, so it suits intermittent work in a workshop. A screw compressor is built for continuous operation and pays off where air is used all shift long. For its screw machines ABAC states roughly 30% higher energy efficiency and about 20 dB(A) less noise.
- Which ABAC compressors are oil-free?
- The Expert Zero range, the quiet Super Silent OS, the ATF and ATFS versions of ABAC Tech, the Clean Air dental compressors and the SUITCASE carry case compress air without oil. They suit paint shops, food production, laboratories and surgeries.
- How quiet is an ABAC compressor?
- The rating plate shows the sound power level Lwa; 4 m from the machine you will measure about 20 dB less. Silent machines in a cabinet have 81 to 89 dB Lwa, the quiet Super Silent OS 63 to 65 dB at 4 m and the screw compressors 57 to 71 dB(A).
- Do I need a dryer with my compressor?
- Compressed air always contains water that condenses in the pipework. For painting or a long pipe network you need a dryer: the ABAC DRY refrigerated dryer brings the air to a pressure dew point of +4 °C and comes in 17 sizes from 266 to 18,000 l/min. Some Pro Line, Silent and SPINN machines have a dryer fitted at the factory.
- Where do I find the manual and which oil should I use?
- Manuals and service videos open via the QR code on the machine in the AirTube app. ABAC piston machines use Altair and ABAC Pro oils, screw machines Rotair oils, including the food-grade Rotair Foodgrade. The manual tells you which oil your machine needs.
