A drum of certified food grade Rotair Foodgrade. For food and pharmaceutical plants with several screw compressors where the oil is changed as part of in-house maintenance. NSF H1, halal and kosher certification.
Why a food grade drum empties faster
The change interval for food grade oil is 2,000 running hours — half that of Rotair Plus and a quarter of the synthetic Xtra. With the same number of machines a drum is therefore used up considerably sooner, which with a large pack is an advantage.
Watch the cleanliness of handling. A pump, funnel and measuring vessel used for certified oil should never meet ordinary oil — otherwise the certification counts for nothing.

- Viscosity grade ISO VG 46 — the same across all four Rotair oils.
- The manufacturer quotes the service life at normal temperature and humidity and in a dust-free environment.
- The oil filter and separator are changed together with the oil.

How it differs from its siblings
Smaller packs are RTF-20 and RTF-5. In a drum we also offer the uncertified RTR-209, RTP-209 and the synthetic RTX-209.

Keep a dedicated pump and funnel for food grade and mark them. Otherwise in six months somebody will share them with ordinary oil.
Technical data follow the supplier’s datasheet and the manufacturer’s documentation. The change interval applies at normal temperature and humidity and in a dust-free environment. Oil is drained warm, with the machine shut down and depressurised.
