Typical uses

It works well as an additional vessel for a piston compressor with its own tank, or as the main air receiver for a smaller screw compressor. A larger reserve means longer pauses between starts and less wear on the compressor. It comes in painted and galvanised versions.

A smaller option is VVP2-100-11, and seventy litres more is offered by VVP2-270-11. The same volume in a horizontal design is VHP200-11, and the matching fittings come as KVP200-11.

How it is made

Automatic welder making a circumferential seam on a pressure vessel shell
Automatic circumferential welding of the shell
Worker grinding a socket weld on the shell of a horizontal pressure vessel
Finishing a socket weld
Pressure vessels suspended on the paint line with a manipulator

Blue horizontal pressure vessels wrapped in film on pallets

Ventilek’s tip

Two vessels in series need two safety valves. As soon as the additional vessel can be isolated by a valve, the compressor’s safety valve no longer protects it.
