Typical uses
It serves as the main air receiver downstream of a compressor working above 10 bar, for example in a blast room or for machines with high pressure requirements. The large volume and wide connections can also handle high flow rates. It comes in painted, galvanised and ALM-coated versions.
A smaller 16-bar vessel is VVP2-270-16, and the same size for 11 bar is VVP2-500-11. The horizontal 16-bar version is VHP500-16.
How it is made

Read the vessel’s pressure rating on the data plate, not on the gauge. What counts is the maximum allowable pressure stated on the data plate, and the safety valve is set accordingly.
