Product detailed description

The smallest of the three-phase Condors with a connecting block. The relay protects the motor between 4.00 and 6.30 A, which matches smaller 400 V workshop machines. The block has one 3/8" inlet and three 1/4" outlets — for the gauge, the safety valve and the air outlet.
Which motor it suits
What decides is the rated current from the motor plate, not tank size and not power in kilowatts. It must land inside the 4.00 to 6.30 A range, not at its edge — a relay set at the lower limit trips imprecisely.
If the plate says more than 6.3 A, you need a stronger relay. The switch itself will manage: the MDR 3 switches motors to 7.5 kW — only the relay version has to change.
What is in the box
- Switching capacity 7.5 kW at 400 V to EN 60947, insulation voltage 690 V.
- Protection IP 54 — against dust and splashing water from every side.
- Mechanical life over a million operations, at most 120 operations an hour.
- Thermal overload relay included, set to the motor rated current.
- Rotary knob for switching on and off by hand.
- Air temperature −5 to +80 °C.
- Connection 3/8" + 3× 1/4" — one inlet and three outlets on a single block.
- Factory set to 8,0–10,0 bar; the screws under the cover change it.
The connection close up
The block with four threads: one inlet for the feed from the tank and three outlets for the gauge, the safety valve and the air line.
How it differs from its siblings
For a motor above 6.3 A take MDR3/11X-10A, above 10 A MDR3/11X-16A. For weak motors around 1.1 kW, which start below four amps, there is one item only — 09021. The same relay without a block, with a single 1/4" thread, is MDR3/11-6A.
Ventilek recommends
Photograph the motor plate before you order. The relay follows from it in a second — from tank volume, never.
Technical data follow the maker datasheet and the supplier catalogue. The switch must be connected by a person with the appropriate electrical qualification. The pressure is set under pressure and with the electrical supply disconnected.

The most ordered three-phase Condor. It fits most mid-sized workshop compressors, and the block makes up for ports the tank does not have.
The strongest relay in the ordinary pressure version. It covers motors at the very top of what an MDR 3 switch will handle at all.
The only version in the range that works above eleven bar. For machines where an ordinary switch runs into its ceiling.
The only switch in the range whose relay will protect a weak motor of about one kilowatt. Stronger versions would never trip for it.

Condor: German precision in pressure control since 1893
In the world of compressors and pumps, the Condor brand is a byword for uncompromising quality, safety and technical excellence. As the inventor of the automatic pressure switch, this German family business with more than 130 years of tradition has grown into the world leader in its field.
History and innovation
The company was founded in 1893 by August Frede. Although it started out making centrifuges and milking machines, the decisive turning point came in 1935, when Condor was granted the world's first patent for an automatic diaphragm switch for pumps. That moment defined the brand's course as a pioneer in pressure control.
Why choose Condor components?
Condor pressure switches (above all the legendary MDR series) are now the standard relied on by respected compressor manufacturers all over the world.
- Extreme service life: Condor products undergo demanding tests (salt spray or water hammer tests, for example) that confirm their exceptional durability.
- Safety and certification: Production takes place in Germany to the strictest standards. Condor holds ISO 9001 certification and numerous international approvals, including versions for explosive atmospheres (ATEX).
- A wide range of uses: From small single-phase compressors (the MDR-1 and MDR-2 series) to powerful industrial machines that require motor overcurrent protection (MDR-3, MDR-5).
A legend called MDR
The MDR name has been on the market for more than 80 years. These switches stand out for their rugged design, high switching accuracy and the option of setting the cut-in and cut-out pressure individually. Thanks to integrated unloader valves they also let the electric motor start easily, with no back pressure.
If you are looking for the best that German engineering has to offer for your compressor or air line, Condor is a safe bet that will repay you with trouble-free operation for many years.
