The version without a connecting block. The switch has one internal 1/4" thread to screw onto the tank — neither gauge nor safety valve connects to it, so the tank must carry its own ports. The relay protects the motor over 4.00 to 6.30 A.
Block, or a single thread
Most production compressors already have ports on the tank for the gauge and the safety valve. Then the block is redundant and this version is simpler to fit and cheaper.
You need the block when you are building a compressor from scratch, or replacing a switch on an older machine where the ports are missing. Then reach for the version with the letter X in the designation.

How it differs from its siblings
The same relay with a block is MDR3/11X-6A. Stronger relays without a block are MDR3/11-10A, MDR3/11-16A and MDR3/11-20A. If the tank has no ports, buying the block version is simpler than adding them.

Technical data follow the maker datasheet and the supplier catalogue. The switch must be connected by a person with the appropriate electrical qualification. The pressure is set under pressure and with the electrical supply disconnected.
