A 10.00 to 16.00 A relay and a single 1/4" thread. The combination for large three-phase compressors that already have tank ports for the gauge and the safety valve, and need the switch only for switching and motor protection.
A big motor, a simple connection
The bigger the motor, the more it matters that the relay matches the rated current. On machines drawing around fifteen amps, protection set wrong means either nuisance tripping or no protection at all.
The switching capacity of the MDR 3 is 7.5 kW at 400 V. On machines above that limit the pressure switch is wired through a contactor and the motor is watched by a separate motor circuit breaker.
