A49B-3-270L1T is the smallest two-stage machine in the category — it delivers 553 l/min at 11 bar from a three-kilowatt motor and fits in the same low assembly as the single-stage A39B machines. The weight stays 248 kg.
Why a two-stage pump
Two-stage compression happens in two steps: the air is first compressed in the larger cylinder, cooled in an intercooler and then compressed again in the smaller one. The result is higher pressure at a lower temperature and less strain on the pump — which is why two-stage machines are used where a compressor runs long and often.
Against the open version of the same pump the cabinet takes off 7 dB(A): 96 dB in the Pro Line range against 89 dB here. The intake stays the same, 553 l/min at 1,300 rpm — so the cabinet takes nothing away.
