Silent Line LN · 270 l · 87 dB LwaA calm run at the cost of litres. B59-4-270L2T holds 87 dB Lwa while the equally strong A49B-4 is at 89 dB. The reason is the speed: inside the cabinet the B59 pump turns 1,200 times a minute where the A49B does 1,400. It delivers 570 l/min at 11 bar and stands on a 270 l receiver in an L2 cabinet.
Why a slowed pump
In the open Pro Line version the B59 pump manages 653 l/min at 1,400 rpm — and 97 dB Lwa with it. In the cabinet it is deliberately slowed to 1,200 rpm, so it delivers 570 l/min but comes out at 87 dB. Eighty litres of air for ten decibels: that is the whole bargain this machine offers.
The slower run has a second effect too — less wear and a lower working temperature. That is why slow-running pumps are built where a compressor cuts in often and runs long.
