WALTER VWK650-5.5/270P Vertical Cast Iron Piston Compressor
The VWK650-5.5/270P is the vertical version of the mid-range WALTER series. The 2V twin-cylinder cast-iron unit has a power input of 4.0 kW (5.5 HP), intake of 630 l/min and an effective displacement of 550 l/min at 10 bar. It operates at 993 rpm – the first in the range to drop below 1,000 rpm – and features a vertically mounted 270 l tank.
270 l is the largest capacity available for a vertical WALTER model; only the most powerful vertical, the VWK900-7.5/270P, shares this volume, while lower-class verticals have 90 l. This provides you with full air reserves and a slow-running unit designed for continuous operation, but with a significantly smaller footprint than its horizontal counterpart. Transport and Commissioning
The machine is delivered on a pallet. Before the first start, check the oil level, direction of rotation, and the tightness of connections; after the first 8 hours of operation, tighten the cylinder head bolts to a torque of 25 Nm. Leave the electrical connection to a professional — for three-phase machines, it is necessary to verify the correct phase sequence.
