HFP basic high-pressure compressed air filters up to 50 bar
The HFP basic filter traps solid particles larger than 3 µm and liquid water. The air after it meets solid particle class 6 according to ISO 8573-1.
The HFP filter comes in 9 sizes with G 1/2" to G 3" threads and flows of 1,183 to 46,000 l/min at 7 bar; working pressure up to 50 bar. It is one of the stages of the HF high-pressure filters — the housing is the same for all stages, only the element differs.
HFP filters by size
The size determines the thread and the flow. Each size has its own spare element.

When to use it
A basic filter is enough where the main concern is dirt and oil in the air does not matter. It most often serves as the first stage before the fine pre-filter and the microfilter, which then last longer.
Where to place it
After the HFB coarse filter or directly at the start of the filtration, before the HFR dust filter or HFM fine pre-filter.
Flow by pressure
The catalogue flows apply to a pressure of 7 bar and a temperature of +20 °C. At a higher pressure the filter passes more air: at 50 bar, 6.38 times as much as at 7 bar.

Element, drain and maintenance
The housing holds a single element, a different one for each size — for example HFP-007V for the HFP-007. Working temperature +1.5 to +65 °C, pressure up to 50 bar.
The filter is supplied without a condensate drain. For pressures up to 50 bar, the AOK 50B and AOK 50SS float drains are suitable; they work reliably from 10 bar.
Replace the element at least once a year or at a pressure drop of 350 mbar. The pressure drop is shown by the MDHI 50 differential pressure gauge.

Ventilek’s tip
For dirt, the basic stage is enough. When the air does not have to be oil-free, the HFP filter will do. For oil, add the HFM fine pre-filter and the HFS microfilter after it.

- No, the basic filter does not determine residual oil. For oil, there are the HFM fine pre-filters and HFS microfilters.
