Silent ABAC Piston Compressors: Power and Quiet in Your Workshop
Do you need a powerful compressor that won't disturb you or your colleagues during work? The traditional Italian manufacturer ABAC brings a revolutionary noise reduction solution for its piston compressors. Thanks to a special cover, noise levels have been drastically reduced without significantly increasing the overall dimensions of the machine.
As if that wasn't enough, the cover integrates patented air flow technology, which ensures perfect heat dissipation. ABAC Silent piston compressors are the best solution for workplace comfort. The difference is immense – instead of the usual 93 to 97 dB, you can work in an environment with a noise level of just 61 dB!

Construction for long life and easy maintenance
ABAC Silent piston compressors save your ears thanks to patented unit covers, which are lined with acoustic insulation foam on the inside. However, the construction also considers practicality and durability:
- ✅ Robust Base: Cast iron cylinders guarantee long-term machine reliability.
- ✅ Easy Service: Simple cover opening and quick oil level check from the outside.
- ✅ Operating Hour Monitoring: Integrated counter precisely monitors time for service intervention.
- ✅ Full Automation: Branded pressure switches ensure 100% trouble-free operation.
How to correctly understand compressor noise levels?
The machine's noise level must be stated on a clear label as sound power level (Lwa) in accordance with the European directive.
The overall noise level of the compressor is influenced by a number of factors: air intake through the filter, cyclic movement of the piston and connecting rod, valve operation, or the whistling of V-belts. The stated noise level (in decibels) is divided into two basic quantities:
🔊 Sound Power Level (Lwa)
It expresses the total power of sound waves emanating directly from the machine. This value is absolute and must be stated on the label.
🔉 Sound Pressure Level (Lwp)
It expresses the actual pressure of the sound wave that reaches your ear. Its value decreases with distance from the noise source.
In our catalog, for transparency, we provide both values for machines: the Lwa power and the Lwp pressure (measured at a distance of 4 meters). There is an exact relationship between these quantities – the sound pressure Lwp (at 4 m) is approximately 20 dB(A) lower than the sound power Lwa. Knowing this difference will protect you from misleading competitor data!
