ATMOS Perfect piston compressors with a cast-iron pump unit
ATMOS Perfect compressors are made by ATMOS in Chrást near Pilsen. At the heart of every machine is a cast-iron piston pump unit that runs at low speed — from 773 to 1,180 revolutions per minute. That is why it can take everyday use in a workshop, car service, paint shop or production.
The range has 31 machines with motors from 2.2 to 7.5 kW: on a horizontal or vertical air receiver, on two air receivers, without an air receiver on a base frame, and two-stage for 12.5 and 14 bar. For every machine we have original service kits for years 1 to 4 — with them, the manufacturer’s five-year warranty applies.

A cast-iron pump unit that lasts
The pump unit is the piston section of the compressor. In the Perfect range it is made of high-grade cast iron, driven by an electric motor via a V-belt and cooled by a large fan and finned cylinders. Low speed means less wear, a lower temperature and a longer machine life.
LB 30 and LB 50 — two cylinders in a V, single-stage compression: Perfect 2,2 (1,180 rpm) and Perfect 4 (1,100 rpm).
LB 40-3 and LB 75 — three cylinders in a W, single-stage compression: Perfect 3 (1,100 rpm) and Perfect 5,5 (950 rpm).
LB 55-3 and LT 100 — two-stage compression with an intercooler: Perfect 4T and 4VT (three cylinders), Perfect 7,5 and 7,5T (four cylinders).

How much air each series delivers
When choosing, go by the air output, not the intake capacity. Add up the consumption of the tools that run at the same time and add a reserve of about 30%. A piston compressor is not meant to run without a break — the air receiver gives it time to cool down.
Two-stage machines deliver fewer litres per minute than single-stage machines of the same power, but they do so at a higher pressure and with a lower compressed air temperature.
Single-stage or two-stage?
A single-stage pump unit compresses the air to 10 bar in one go. That is enough for most workshop tools, tyre services and spray guns.
A two-stage pump unit first compresses the air in the large cylinders, cools it in the intercooler and then compresses it further in a smaller cylinder. This way it reaches 12.5 bar (Perfect 4T, Perfect 7,5T) or 14 bar (Perfect 4VT) and heats up less. The Perfect 7,5 for 10 bar is two-stage too — which is why it delivers 1,170 l/min.
Five-year unlimited warranty
On Perfect compressors, ATMOS gives a five-year warranty on the whole machine, with no limit on running hours, no flat fees and no service contract.
There are three conditions: you register the machine within 90 days of purchase, carry out maintenance once a year with an original ATMOS service kit and record the maintenance in the manufacturer’s app via the QR code from the kit. Each record extends the warranty by another year, up to five years. The machine takes ATMOS VDL 100 oil.
Service kits for every machine
The kit is chosen by the machine’s pump unit and by which service it will be. The kits for year 1 and year 3 contain oil with an extractor, air filter cartridges and check valve parts. The kits for year 2 and year 4 also contain valve plates, gaskets and a belt.

The Perfect 4T and 4VT have the same pump unit but different kits for the 2nd and 4th year. The Perfect 2,2/90 EX uses kit N770229 for the 3rd year; the 3rd-year kit for the Perfect 2,2/150 EX and 7,5/500 YD is on request. You will find the pump unit in the tables above and on the machine’s rating plate.
Service across the whole country
You can carry out the maintenance yourself following the manual, or have it done by an authorised ATMOS service centre. The service network covers the whole of the Czech Republic.
The machine has an open design: the air filter, the belt, the oil filler neck and the oil sight glass are accessible without removing any covers.
Standard equipment of every machine
The compressor is ready to connect: a pressure switch with motor overload protection, a pressure gauge for the air receiver, a safety valve, an air filter on the intake, a condensate drain cock, cooling fins and a cable with a plug. Machines on an air receiver have a ball valve at the outlet; horizontal ones with a smaller air receiver also have wheels and a handle.
For dry, clean air, add a refrigeration dryer and compressed air filters, or choose an SAP package in which the compressor is combined with a dryer and filtration.

Buy by air output and leave yourself a reserve. A compressor that runs flat out all the time overheats and wears out sooner. A large air receiver pays off when the tools draw air in bursts — the machine then switches on less often.
Piston or screw compressor?
A Perfect piston compressor is the right choice when you draw air intermittently — in a workshop, a service centre or smaller production. Where the compressor runs for most of the shift, an ATMOS screw compressor pays off: it can take continuous operation.
- Which oil goes into an ATMOS Perfect compressor?
- ATMOS VDL 100 mineral compressor oil. Depending on the machine, the fill is 1 to 2 litres, and the oil is part of every service kit, together with an extractor.
- Which Perfect can be plugged into a standard 230 V socket?
- The Perfect 2,2/90 EX and the Perfect 2,2/150 EX. The other machines need a three-phase 400 V socket.
- What do the letters in the name mean?
- S = vertical air receiver, PFT = unit without an air receiver, T = two-stage for 12.5 bar, VT = two-stage for 14 bar, EX = 230 V motor, YD = star-delta start, 2x90 = two air receivers of 90 litres each.
- What is the difference between intake capacity and air output?
- Intake capacity is the volume of air the pump unit draws in. Air output is the air it actually delivers into the air receiver, converted according to ISO 1217. When choosing a compressor, the air output is what counts.
- How loud is a Perfect compressor?
- Depending on the machine, the sound pressure level LpA is 72 to 78 dB(A), measured according to ISO 3744. It is not suited to an office, but it is fine for a workshop.
- How long does the warranty last?
- Five years on the whole machine, provided you register it within 90 days and carry out maintenance every year with an original service kit recorded in the ATMOS app.
- Can I put together a compressor with a dryer?
- Yes. A refrigeration dryer and filters can be added to any machine, or you can choose a ready-made SAP package.
