BFHPB flanged coarse filters up to 25 bar with a sintered element
BFHPB flanged coarse filters up to 25 bar with a sintered element trap coarse solid contaminants larger than 15 µm and protect the finer stages after them. They belong to the range of Omega Air BFHP flanged filters up to 25 bar: the welded carbon steel housing is the same for all stages, and the element determines the stage.
10 sizes with DN80 to DN300 flanges, flow of 1,680 to 31,400 Nm³/h at 7 bar and 1 to 20 elements. Working pressure up to 25 bar, temperature +1.5 to +65 °C. Supplied as a filter housing with elements, without a condensate drain.

The flows apply to a pressure of 7 bar and a temperature of +20 °C. All sizes use the same element; only the number of elements in the filter differs. You will find the dimensions on the product page of each filter.

When to use it
A coarse filter suits the start of the filtration, where larger contaminants from the air line enter the air. The air meets solid particle class 7 according to ISO 8573-1; the filter does not determine oil.
According to the manufacturer, the sintered element can be cleaned in an ultrasonic bath or by back-flushing; how often depends on the operation. When cleaning is no longer enough, it is replaced with a new one.
Where to place it
At the start of the filtration, before the BFHPP basic filter or BFHPR dust filter. The sintered element traps coarse contaminants before they reach the finer stages.
Element, replacement and drain
Element BFB-0240V: sintered brass, pressure drop of a new element 20 mbar. Replace the elements once a year, or earlier when the pressure drop reaches 350 mbar. The pressure drop is shown by the MDHI 50 differential pressure gauge.
The condensate drain is ordered separately — for this range, the manufacturer lists the TD 50M timed drain and the AOK 50B float drain. Elements for all stages are among the BFHP spare elements.
Flow at a different pressure
The flows in the tables apply to a pressure of 7 bar and a temperature of +20 °C. At a different pressure, multiply the flow by the manufacturer’s correction factor:
