The 90 kW shares its frame and footprint with the 75 kW and weighs only 40 kg more — yet at seven bar it delivers 3,700 l/min more air. Nowhere in the range is the ratio of added output to added space better.
Why 7 bar
At 7 bar it gives 20,000 l/min, a round twenty cubic metres a minute, with regulation down to 5,100. Twenty thousand litres is the threshold beyond which pipework generally stops being sized from the compressor and starts being calculated from consumption.

The dimensions of 2,280 × 1,500 × 1,950 mm, weight of 2,050 kg, DN 65 outlet and noise level of 78 dB(A) are identical across all three settings — it is one and the same machine.
How it differs from its neighbours
The same frame carries the SCR-75/7EPM2 with 16,300 l/min. The next machine up, the SCR-110/7EPM2, means a different frame, 850 kg more weight and a DN 80 outlet — the biggest jump in compressor room requirements anywhere in the range.
What is inside
Permanent magnet motor
Above IE4 level, oil-cooled in a closed circuit and with no bearings. Against an ordinary IE2 motor it saves 5 to 6 % — on 90 kW running continuously that is a difference which pays for the servicing within a year.
Direct drive through a taper coupling
No belts, gearbox or coupling. Belt tensioning and replacement disappear — on a machine delivering 20,000 l/min they would mean shutting down the whole compressor room.
Frequency inverter
It regulates steplessly from 5,100 to 20,000 l/min, down to 26 % of output, and holds pressure to within ±0.1 bar. The starting current never exceeds the rated value.
New-generation airend
A rotor profile developed in Japan, multi-point oil injection, efficiency up to 16 % better than the previous generation. Service life over 100,000 hours.
SCR9000 controller
Touchscreen, weekly schedule, operating log and protection against overload and phase imbalance. It sequences up to sixteen compressors with no master panel.
What the machine needs in the compressor room
The 90 kW asks exactly the same of space and ventilation as the 75 kW — 17,500 m³/h and 2,280 × 1,500 × 1,950 mm — but delivers 20,000 l/min, or 1,200 m³/h. A fifth more air for the same space.

The 90 kW is often the ceiling for compressor rooms that were not purpose-built. The dimensions and weights of every class are in the table in the SCR-EPM2 range — a designer needs them before the price. Receivers are in the air receivers.
Same frame, same ventilation, same space in the compressor room. This is the cheapest output in the whole range.
