Typical uses
It serves as an air reserve for a compressor with a higher working pressure where a vertical vessel will not fit. Its connections are in the same places as on the 12-bar version, so the pipework stays the same.
The 12-bar version with the same dimensions is VHP1000-12, and a larger 16-bar vessel is VHP2000-16. The vertical 16-bar version is VVP1000-16.

The safety valve must have enough flow capacity. When set to 16 bar, it must be able to discharge at least as much air as the compressor delivers.
