Typical uses

It serves as the central air receiver downstream of several compressors rated at 13 or 15 bar, or for operations with large peaks in demand at a higher pressure. It comes in painted, galvanised and ALM-coated versions.

A smaller 16-bar vessel is VVP2000-16, and the same size for 12 bar is VVP3000-12. The horizontal 16-bar version is VHP3000-16.

How it is made

Automatic welder making a circumferential seam on a pressure vessel shell
Automatic circumferential welding of the shell
Worker grinding a socket weld on the shell of a horizontal pressure vessel
Finishing a socket weld

Ventilek’s tip

The safety valve is set according to the vessel’s data plate. What counts is the maximum allowable pressure on the data plate, 16 bar for this vessel, not the pressure at which the compressor cuts out.
