Why diesel
A diesel engine has a lower consumption per cubic metre of air and takes more running hours. It pays off where the machine works long shifts and where a fuel bowser stands on site anyway — you are spared carrying a petrol can separately.
You pay for it in weight: 184 kg is a lot for a wheeled machine and over rough ground you will not push it alone. The petrol counterpart with the same tank, EA9-6,2-270CP, weighs fourteen kilograms less and has a higher intake.
