A diesel compressor needs no electricity and, unlike a petrol one, can handle long shifts. Our range includes four Engine Air machines with a Kohler diesel engine and a two-stage, oil-lubricated piston pump driven by a V-belt.

Why diesel

A diesel engine uses less fuel per cubic metre of air than a petrol one and lasts more operating hours. It pays off where the machine runs for a whole shift — on a building site, in a quarry or on remediation work — and where diesel is on hand anyway. The trade-off is weight: the lightest diesel machine weighs 184 kg.

Four diesel machines

• EA7-5,2-270CD — the only wheeled model, with a Kohler KD350 engine, a 270 l tank and a pressure of 10 bar. It is started by hand with a pull cord, so it has no battery.
• EA10-7,5-270FD — stationary on feet, with a Kohler KD15-440 engine, 14 bar, an intake capacity of 727 l/min and an electric key start.
• EA11-7,5-270FD — the same engine and tank as the EA10, but a larger pump and an intake capacity of 1,038 l/min, the highest of all our engine-driven compressors.
• EA17-12,6-90FBDS — with a built-in generator, it supplies both air and electricity. Kohler LDW702 engine, 12 bar, a 90 l tank and 378 kg.

Wheeled or stationary?

You can push the wheeled EA7 around a building site, though at 184 kg preferably over level ground. The stationary machines stand on feet; they are set up in a yard or bolted onto a pickup or lorry bed. More machines on wheels, electric and petrol, are listed among our mobile air compressors.

Petrol or diesel?

For occasional work, a petrol machine is enough — it's lighter, and there are eighteen petrol machines, from small ones with a 2.5 l tank up to 270 l. You'll find them among compressors with a petrol engine. How is a diesel compressor started?

The wheeled EA7-5,2-270CD by hand with a pull cord, the other three with an electric starter and a key.

Can a diesel compressor work inside a closed building?

No. The exhaust fumes of a combustion engine must go outside; set the machine up outdoors or in a well-ventilated space.

Can a diesel compressor also generate electricity?

Only the EA17-12,6-90FBDS with its built-in generator. It saves you a separate unit where you need air for tools as well as power for lights or a cement mixer.
