The 63 kW at ten bar gives 12,000 l/min — almost exactly what the 55 kW gives at seven. For comparable air you are paying a full power class more here, and purely because of pressure.
Why 10 bar
Ten bar means 12,000 l/min, two thousand less than the seven-bar setting. The loss is 14 %, which for a ten-bar setting is modest — across most of the range it is higher. Regulation goes down to 3,200 l/min.

The dimensions of 1,900 × 1,350 × 1,650 mm, weight of 1,650 kg, DN 50 outlet and noise level of 76 dB(A) are identical across all three settings — it is one and the same machine.
How it differs from its neighbours
The smaller SCR-55/10EPM2 gives 10,500 l/min at the same pressure, the larger SCR-75/10EPM2 a full 13,700 l/min. If ten bar were not essential, the same machine as the SCR-63/7EPM2 adds 2,000 l/min for nothing.
What is inside
Permanent magnet motor
Oil cooling in a closed circuit, IP65 protection, a design with no bearings. On 63 kW a saving of 5–6 % against IE2 is a figure you can see in the budget.
Direct drive through a taper coupling
No belts and no gearbox. On 63 kW a slipping belt would mean a loss of output that nobody notices until the electricity bill arrives.
Frequency inverter
Instead of blowing off the excess it reduces speed: 3,200 to 12,000 l/min steplessly, a floor at 27 % of output, pressure still within ±0.1 bar.
New-generation airend
A reground rotor profile and optimised ports. On a machine giving 12,000 l/min, every percent of efficiency means a different sum than it would on a small compressor.
SCR9000 controller
A graphical schematic of the machine, a service schedule and remote monitoring over RS485. A cascade of sixteen machines with no separate control cabinet.
What the machine needs in the compressor room
At 12,000 l/min that is 720 m³/h compressed to ten bar. The noise level stays at 76 dB(A), because the enclosure and cooling are the same as at the lower pressures. The ventilation figure of 15,600 m³/h applies unchanged.

Almost the same air, a class larger machine. That is the whole price of those three bar — and it is worth checking whether you really need them.
