WHFITP fibre pre-filters for dust up to 50 bar

The WHFITP fibre pre-filter has a pleated element of acrylic fibres and cellulose and traps solid particles and dust larger than 3 µm — solid particle class 6 according to ISO 8573-1. The housing is made of stainless steel 1.4404.
The WHFITP filter comes in 8 sizes (G 1/2" to 3") with flows of 2,500 to 40,000 l/min at 7 bar; working pressure up to 50 bar. It is one of the stages of the WHFIT filters — the housing is the same for all stages, only the element differs.
WHFITP filters by size
The size determines the connection and the flow. Each size has its own PF range spare element.

When to use it
The fibre pre-filter P is suitable where the air contains dust and finer contaminants that a stainless steel mesh lets through. The element only withstands +65 °C — for warmer air, there are meshes and sintered elements up to +150 °C.
The manufacturer does not state an oil class for it; oil aerosol is handled by the fine pre-filter M.
Where to place it

After the WHFITN5 basic filter or the WHFITI20 sintered pre-filter, before the WHFITR dust filter or the WHFITM fine pre-filter.
Flow by pressure
The catalogue flows apply to a pressure of 7 bar and a temperature of +20 °C. At a higher pressure the filter passes more air — 6.38 times as much at 50 bar.

Element, condensate drainage and maintenance

A PF range element is fitted in the housing — for example, the PFP-010V for the WHFITP-010. The same element also fits the PFP-010, HPFP-010, WFITP-010, WFIFP-010 and WFIWP-010. Element working temperature +1.5 to +65 °C.
The filter is supplied with an element, without a condensate drain. For WHFIT filters, the manufacturer offers the AOK50SS stainless steel float drain up to 50 bar, recommended from 10 bar, or the TD420M timed drain with a G 1/4" thread, and, for the head, the MDHI 50-K differential pressure gauge. The drain outlet in the bottom has a G 1/2" thread.
Replace the element at least once every 12 months. Once a year, also check the housing for visible damage.
Accessories for WHFITP filters

MDHI 50-K gauge
Differential pressure gauge with connecting tubes; it shows how clogged the element is.
The same stage in other ranges
Stage P also comes in the PFP filters up to 14 bar, HPFP filters up to 50 bar, WFITP filters up to 14 bar, WFIFP filters up to 14 bar and WFIWP filters up to 14 bar. The elements are the same for all ranges.
Ventilek’s tip
Fibres only up to +65 °C. The fibre element P is suitable for cooler air. For warmer air, choose the N5 mesh or a sintered pre-filter — they withstand +150 °C.
- What filtration rating does the WHFITP fibre pre-filter have?
- The element traps particles larger than 3 µm, solid particle class 6 according to ISO 8573-1.
- What temperature does it withstand?
- The element from +1.5 to +65 °C.
- When should the element be replaced?
- At least once every 12 months.
