Teplota, při které se vodní pára ve vzduchu začne měnit na vodu se nazývá rosný bod. Tomuto procesu se bohužel nevyhne žádné ústrojí kompresorové soustavy, kde se vytváří stlačený vzduch. Vodní pára změněná na vodu - kondenzát je jedním z největších škůdců každé tlakové soustavy a ubírá jí na životnosti.
