The top of the EPM2 range. At seven bar it delivers 33,500 l/min — more than thirty-three cubic metres of air a minute from a single machine. It weighs 3,150 kg and needs 30,000 m³ an hour of ventilation, twice what the 55 kW asks for.
Why 7 bar
Seven bar is the highest-output setting on the 160 kW: 33,500 l/min with regulation down to 9,300. A wide range matters on a machine this size — otherwise it would simply cycle through the quieter hours, and that shows up on the consumption immediately.

The dimensions of 2,700 × 1,650 × 2,150 mm, weight of 3,150 kg, DN 80 outlet and noise level of 78 dB(A) are identical across all three settings — it is one and the same machine.
How it differs from its neighbours
Below it sits the SCR-132/7EPM2 with 30,000 l/min in an identical frame and only 100 kg lighter. The difference between them is therefore mainly output and ventilation — the 160 kW wants 5,000 m³/h more.
What is inside
Permanent magnet motor
Above IE4 level, oil-cooled in a closed circuit and with no bearings. Against an ordinary IE2 motor it saves 5 to 6 % — on 160 kW running continuously that is a difference which pays for the servicing within a year.
Direct drive through a taper coupling
No belts, gearbox or coupling. Belt tensioning and replacement disappear — on a machine delivering 33,500 l/min they would mean shutting down the whole compressor room.
Frequency inverter
It regulates steplessly from 9,300 to 33,500 l/min, down to 28 % of output, and holds pressure to within ±0.1 bar. The starting current never exceeds the rated value.
New-generation airend
A rotor profile developed in Japan, multi-point oil injection, efficiency up to 16 % better than the previous generation. Service life over 100,000 hours.
SCR9000 controller
Touchscreen, weekly schedule, operating log and protection against overload and phase imbalance. It sequences up to sixteen compressors with no master panel.
What the machine needs in the compressor room
Thirty-three and a half thousand litres a minute is 2,010 m³/h — the most in the range. Ventilation of 30,000 m³/h, twice that of the 55 kW, and 3,150 kg on the floor. On a machine this size you calculate the whole installation, not just the compressor.

Thirty-three cubic metres a minute needs pipework, a receiver and compressor room ventilation to match. Receivers are in the air receivers, dryers in the air dryers. The whole range including the smaller outputs is compared in the SCR-EPM2 range.
Before ordering a machine like this, have the whole installation calculated. Undersized pipework will eat more than any compressor, however good, can save.
