The 55 kW set to ten bar delivers 10,500 l/min. Ten bar only makes sense where several consumers genuinely need it — for a single machine in the hall it usually pays better to give it a small compressor of its own.
Why 10 bar
Ten bar brings delivery down to 10,500 l/min against 12,500 at seven, a drop of 16 %. Regulation goes down to 2,600 l/min, a quarter of the output — so the machine will cope with a weak night-time demand without shutting down.

The dimensions of 1,900 × 1,350 × 1,650 mm, weight of 1,550 kg, DN 50 outlet and noise level of 76 dB(A) are identical across all three settings — it is one and the same machine.
How it differs from its neighbours
The larger SCR-63/10EPM2 gives 12,000 l/min at the same pressure in an identical frame. If less pressure would do, the same machine as the SCR-55/7EPM2 adds 2,000 l/min.
What is inside
Permanent magnet motor
Oil cooling in a closed circuit, IP65 protection, a design with no bearings. On 55 kW a saving of 5–6 % against IE2 is a figure you can see in the budget.
Direct drive through a taper coupling
No belts and no gearbox. On 55 kW a slipping belt would mean a loss of output that nobody notices until the electricity bill arrives.
Frequency inverter
Instead of blowing off the excess it reduces speed: 2,600 to 10,500 l/min steplessly, a floor at 25 % of output, pressure still within ±0.1 bar.
New-generation airend
A reground rotor profile and optimised ports. On a machine giving 10,500 l/min, every percent of efficiency means a different sum than it would on a small compressor.
SCR9000 controller
A graphical schematic of the machine, a service schedule and remote monitoring over RS485. A cascade of sixteen machines with no separate control cabinet.
What the machine needs in the compressor room
Ten bar and 10,500 l/min gives 630 m³/h. Higher pressure means more condensate, so the condensate drainage downstream has to be sized for it. The noise level of 76 dB(A) and the ventilation figure of 15,600 m³/h stay the same as at the lower pressures.

Running at ten bar produces more condensate, so a dryer and condensate drainage are not optional — you will find them in the air dryers. The receiver belongs in the air receivers. The whole range with the other pressures is compared in the SCR-EPM2 range.
If only one press wanted that high pressure, it works out cheaper to give it its own small compressor than to drive the whole installation at ten bar.
