Typical uses

It serves as the main air receiver of a compressor station with a single screw compressor, or as a reservoir for large peaks in demand. Its 2" side connections, one low and one high on opposite sides, allow the air to be fed in through the lower one and drawn off through the upper one, so the condensate stays at the bottom.

A larger volume and 45 mm less height are offered by VVP1500-12, and for compressors rated at 13 or 15 bar, there is VVP1000-16. The fittings for the painted version come as KVP1000-12.

How it is made

Automatic welder making a circumferential seam on a pressure vessel shell
Automatic circumferential welding of the shell
Worker grinding a socket weld on the shell of a horizontal pressure vessel
Finishing a socket weld
Pressure vessels suspended on the paint line with a manipulator

Blue horizontal pressure vessels wrapped in film on pallets

Ventilek’s tip

The safety valve in the kit has its own flow capacity. The 1/2" valve from the fittings kit discharges 484 Nm³/h. For a compressor with a higher output, choose a valve with a larger flow capacity.
