SPFP fibre pre-filters for dust up to 14 bar
The SPFP fibre pre-filter has a pleated element of acrylic fibres and cellulose and traps solid particles and dust larger than 3 µm — solid particle class 6 according to ISO 8573-1. The housing is made of stainless steel 1.4404.
The SPFP filter comes in 12 sizes (G 1/4" to 3") with flows of 1,250 to 60,000 l/min at 7 bar; working pressure up to 14 bar. It is one of the twelve stages of the SPF filters — the housing is the same for all stages, only the element differs.
SPFP filters by size
The size determines the connection and the flow. Each size has its own PF range spare element.

When to use it
The fibre pre-filter P is suitable where the air contains dust and finer contaminants that a stainless steel mesh lets through. The element only withstands +65 °C — for warmer air, there are meshes and sintered elements up to +150 °C.
The manufacturer does not state an oil class for it; oil aerosol is handled by the fine pre-filter M.
Where to place it
After the SPFN5 basic filter or the SPFI20 sintered pre-filter, before the SPFR dust filter or the SPFM fine pre-filter.
Flow by pressure
The catalogue flows apply to a pressure of 7 bar and a temperature of +20 °C. At a different pressure, they are multiplied by the correction factor: 1.88 at 14 bar.

Element and maintenance
A PF range element is fitted in the housing — for example, the PFP-010V for the SPFP-010. The same element also fits the PF, HPF, WFIT, WFIF, WFIW and WHFIT process filters of the same size. The working temperature of the element is +1.5 to +65 °C.
The filter is supplied with an element, without a condensate drain. You will find all elements among the PF range spare elements.
Replace the element at least once every 12 months. Once a year, also check the housing for visible damage.
The same stage in other ranges
Stage P also comes in process filters: PFP up to 14 bar, HPFP up to 50 bar, WFITP up to 14 bar, WFIFP up to 14 bar, WFIWP up to 14 bar and WHFITP up to 50 bar. The elements are the same for all ranges.
Ventilek’s tip
Fibres only up to +65 °C. The fibre element P is suitable for cooler air. For warmer air, choose the N5 mesh or a sintered pre-filter — they withstand +150 °C.
