The A49BX-2.2-150CT has the two-stage A49B pump with a 2.2 kW motor on 400 V: intake of 444 l/min at 1,050 rpm, a 150 l tank at 11 bar, 114 kg. The air passes through two cylinders and an intercooler, enters the tank cooler and there is more of it in there — for two people with tools or longer work at a stretch. Clearance of the previous generation: the same A49B pump as in the new ranges, for less money.
Why two stages with 2.2 kW
The first cylinder compresses the air, the finned intercooler tube cools it, and the smaller second cylinder pushes it up to 11 bar; there is also an aftercooler behind the unit. The unit runs at 1,050 rpm with less load per cylinder, and a 150 l tank at 11 bar holds more air than the same tank at 10 bar. It is the quietest machine in the range — 91 dB Lwa, 71 dB at 4 m. The three-phase motor is designed for a 400 V supply.
