150 litre air compressors
A hundred and fifty litres is the largest tank for which we still offer a wide choice of machines for a standard 230 V socket — fourteen machines with up to 2.2 kW. Another twenty run on a three-phase 400 V supply, including cast-iron three-cylinder machines with up to 750 l/min.

150 litre air compressor: 230 V or 400 V
Single-phase machines go up to 2.2 kW with 165 to 333 l/min — enough for a workshop running one tool at a time. If you need more, you have to go three-phase: there the machines range from 1.5 to 5.5 kW and the output reaches 750 l/min. So start by checking which supply your workshop has.
The most powerful 230 V machines are the ATMOS Perfect 2,2/150E with 323 l/min and the two-stage ABAC A49BP-2,2-150CM with 333 l/min at 11 bar. You cannot go higher on a single phase — a stronger motor would trip the standard circuit breaker on the socket.
What this size offers
Cast-iron ATMOS Perfect
On 150 l tanks you will find twin- and three-cylinder models of the cast-iron ATMOS Perfect. The three-cylinder Perfect 5.5/150 gives 750 l/min, and the Perfect 4T/150 reaches 12.5 bar. Three of them also come as a package with a dryer and filtration, so the air comes out dry straight away.
ABAC belt-driven twin-cylinder machines
ABAC Pro Line in Extensive and Expert versions with single-stage A29B and A39B pumps at 10 bar, and for higher pressure at the same motor power, the two-stage ABAC A49B at 11 bar.
Soundproofed and oil-free
For places where people work next to the compressor, seven machines come in the soundproof cabinet of the ABAC Silent. Three are oil-free Expert Zero models and two are small ATMOS Albert screw compressors with 4 kW, one of them with a dryer.
When to go for 150 litres
A large tank evens out bursts of demand — a tyre shop alternating between an impact wrench and an inflator, or a workshop with two workstations. For continuous work the air output decides, but for a few minutes the large reserve even lets you run tools that use more than the machine supplies. One step down is the 100 litre air compressor, one step up the 200 litre air compressor; an overview of all sizes is under air compressors.
Frequently asked questions
- Which 150 l compressor for 230 V should I choose?
- It depends on air output and usage. For longer work, a belt-driven twin-cylinder machine — ABAC Pro Line or ATMOS Perfect 2,2/150E. The two-stage A49BP also gives 11 bar.
- Do I need a dryer with a 150 l compressor?
- Not for ordinary tools; it is enough to drain the condensate regularly. For spray painting and sensitive pneumatic components, yes — which is why we offer compressor packages with a dryer and filtration.
- Is a 150 l compressor mobile?
- Most are — twenty-eight machines stand on wheels with a handle, and six are stationary on feet. The ATMOS Albert screw compressors are among the stationary ones.
