10 bar · belt · cast ironThe only machine in the range built for regular work: a cast-iron pump on a V-belt, 1,050 rpm instead of 2,850, 10 bar instead of eight and an aftercooler at the outlet. At four metres 71 dB — 6 dB quieter than the other oil-lubricated models. The dearest machine in the range, and rightly so.
Why it costs noticeably more than the V-twin
The belt slows the pump to a third of the speed of direct drive — the pistons move slower, wear less, and the machine is quieter. The cast-iron block holds its temperature and withstands 10 bar, the aftercooler lowers the temperature of the outgoing air, so less water goes into the hose. The motor has thermal protection. It is the design of workshop machines, shrunk to 54 kg and a 230 V socket.

When 8 bar and occasional work are enough, more air for half the price comes from the V-twin BV-2.2-50CM.
