    A 4,000 l air receiver evens out demand peaks, drops out some of the condensate and cuts how often the compressor cycles — which extends its life. Size it to the compressor output and the shape of your demand: the more intermittent the consumption, the larger the receiver pays off. Also check the maximum working pressure, the layout (vertical or horizontal) and the arrangement of the ports for fittings.
