The 15 kW machine set to eight bar. Eight bar is the most common working pressure in industry — most pneumatic tools are built for it and it leaves a margin for the pressure drop before the air reaches the far end of the hall.
Why 8 bar
Eight bar means up to 2,900 l/min. Against the seven-bar setting of the same machine that is only 100 l/min less — about three per cent — while the extra bar costs roughly seven per cent in energy. So if seven bar is enough for you, eight does not pay; if it is not, this step is cheaper than jumping to ten.

How it differs from its neighbours
Speed control goes down to 730 l/min, so the machine copes with night running when a single workstation is drawing air. If you need the same pressure but more air, the nearest is SCR-18/8EPM with the same cabinet and weight.
What is inside
Permanent magnet motor
Magnets instead of a cage: efficiency exceeds IE4 and takes 5 to 6 % off consumption against IE2. On a machine delivering 2,900 l/min that adds up faster than you would expect.
Direct drive through a taper coupling
The airend sits directly on the motor. A slipping belt would quietly eat into 2,900 l/min and you would only notice on the bill; here there is none.
Frequency inverter
Workshop demand fluctuates — so the inverter reduces speed instead of blowing off the excess. The machine covers the 730 to 2,900 l/min band without a single shutdown.
Screw airend
The new airend is quiet and efficient — on 15 kW the sixteen percent improvement shows up in consumption before it shows in noise, though that is 66 dB(A) here.
SCR9000 controller
You schedule when the machine should run and it starts and stops itself. Over RS485 you connect it to remote monitoring, and it handles a cascade of up to sixteen units.
What the machine needs in the plant room
Sixty-six decibels at one metre means you can hold a normal conversation beside the running machine — the 15 kW does not need a room of its own. A footprint of 1,200 × 800 mm and 480 kg is fine on an ordinary floor without strengthening; just allow room to swing the panels open for servicing.

Eight bar tends to be a compromise that lasts for years — but only when it fits the pipework. You will find all eighteen versions compared in the SCR-EPM range. For dry air in the system it is worth adding a dryer from compressed air dryers; we provide service and scheduled maintenance across the country.
The standard exists so that tool makers do not have to think about every system separately. You have one system and it can be measured.
