Eighteen and a half kilowatts at eight bar — a combination that covers an ordinary engineering workshop with several workstations and still leaves headroom for when another machine is added.
Why 8 bar
Eight bar gives up to 3,500 l/min and regulates down to 1,100 l/min. Against seven bar on the same machine you lose 200 l/min, about five per cent — and pay roughly seven per cent in consumption for it. Worth it only when eight bar is genuinely missing from the system.

Dimensions 1,200 × 800 × 1,100 mm, weight 480 kg, outlet R 1" and noise 66 dB(A) are identical at all three settings — it is one and the same machine.
How it differs from its neighbours
The same cabinet also takes SCR-15/8EPM, which is 600 l/min weaker, and above it sits SCR-22/8EPM with another 500 l/min. Between 18.5 and 22 kW you are looking at 80 kg more and a different weight distribution in the plant room.
What is inside
Permanent magnet motor
Magnets instead of a cage: efficiency exceeds IE4 and takes 5 to 6 % off consumption against IE2. On a machine delivering 3,500 l/min that adds up faster than you would expect.
Direct drive through a taper coupling
The airend sits directly on the motor. A slipping belt would quietly eat into 3,500 l/min and you would only notice on the bill; here there is none.
Frequency inverter
Workshop demand fluctuates — so the inverter reduces speed instead of blowing off the excess. The machine covers the 1,100 to 3,500 l/min band without a single shutdown.
Screw airend
The new airend is quiet and efficient — on 18.5 kW the sixteen percent improvement shows up in consumption before it shows in noise, though that is 66 dB(A) here.
SCR9000 controller
You schedule when the machine should run and it starts and stops itself. Over RS485 you connect it to remote monitoring, and it handles a cascade of up to sixteen units.
What the machine needs in the plant room
An R 1" outlet and 210 m³/h means the distribution system should not start any smaller than one inch. Undersized pipework is the commonest reason why the saving from the inverter never shows in practice — the pressure drop in the system forces the machine to run at a higher pressure than is needed at the far end.

It fits most workshops, it has headroom and you are not buying pressure you do not need. Dull choices tend to be the ones nobody curses five years later.
