Spare parts and accessories keep an air treatment unit in operation: you replace a clogged filter element, a cracked bowl or a worn regulator diaphragm without replacing the whole unit. Mounting brackets and connection kits fix the unit in place and join it into an assembly.

Here you will find parts for 7 ranges of air treatment units. You choose the part by the range and size of the unit you have. The table below shows what you will find for each range.

The B2UR-1 bracket from the B2 row also fits the P2 range, and the N-OZ sight dome from the I8 row also fits I3 lubricators. In the stainless steel A1X range, a mounting bracket comes with every device.

How to find the right part

By unit size. On A2, the part is chosen by thread; on I3, the parts are shared by the G 1/8" and 1/4" threads. B2 and I8 have three body sizes: 1 with a 1/4" thread, 2 with 3/8" and 1/2", and 3 with 3/4" and 1". COMBIBLOC has sizes 1 and 2, STANDARD BG 60, BG 80 and BG 90.

On FUTURA by size, not by thread. A component with a G 3/8" thread can be size 1 or size 2. You will find the size on the product page and the parts by size in the tables of FUTURA accessories.

By device. The filter bowl and the lubricator bowl differ; on FUTURA, the bowls of activated carbon filters are not interchangeable either. Diaphragms and sealing cones belong to regulators.

By fault. A clogged element restricts the flow. Replace a cracked or clouded bowl straight away. When the regulator does not hold the set pressure or air escapes from it, a worn diaphragm is usually to blame.

Filter elements

FUTURA spare 5 µm filter element — The elements are replaced when they become clogged.

The element is chosen by range, size and filtration fineness. For I3 and I8, there are 20 µm elements and finer 5 µm ones, for COMBIBLOC 40 µm and 5 µm, for STANDARD 40 µm and for BG 90 also 5 µm, and for A2 5 µm. For FUTURA, there are 5 µm elements, 0.3 µm pre-filter elements, 0.01 µm microfilter elements and activated carbon elements.

Replace the element when the filter starts to restrict the flow and the pressure after it drops noticeably while air is drawn. On FUTURA pre-filters and microfilters in sizes 1 to 4, clogging is shown by a differential pressure indicator mounted on the cap. I3, I8 and COMBIBLOC elements can also be cleaned.

Depressurise the unit before replacing the element, then remove the bowl and replace the element.

Bowls and condensate drain

Plastic bowls are transparent, so you can see the condensate or oil level. Metal bowls withstand more: on COMBIBLOC and STANDARD an inlet pressure of 25 bar and temperatures up to 90 °C, plastic ones 16 bar and 50 °C. The metal bowls of I8, COMBIBLOC and FUTURA sizes 1 to 4 have a sight glass.

The condensate drain also depends on the bowl. On COMBIBLOC, STANDARD and FUTURA, you retrofit an automatic drain by replacing the bowl; for COMBIBLOC, there is also an add-on drain. On B2 filters and microfilters, the manual drain is replaced by the B2FD float drain.

Wash plastic bowls only with water and a mild detergent. Thinners and solvents damage them.

Mounting and joining into an assembly

A mounting bracket fixes a filter regulator, a regulator or a whole unit to a wall or machine frame. On A2, the bracket comes with regulators, filter regulators and units; a separate one is for filters and lubricators and as a spare. On B2, the bracket is ordered separately, on STANDARD the mounting kit.

A connection kit joins two components into a rigid assembly with no pipes or hoses between them. Each joint takes one kit, so an assembly of filter, regulator and lubricator needs two. There are connection kits for B2 sizes 1 and 2 and for FUTURA, where a kit joins two components of the same size regardless of the thread and the kit with wall bracket also fixes the unit to a wall.

An air branch within the assembly is made by a manifold module, which is inserted between the components just like another device.

Ventilek’s tip

A spare part instead of a new unit. When a bowl cracks, an element clogs or the regulator diaphragm wears out, you do not have to replace the whole unit. All you need to know is the range and size, and you replace the part in a few minutes.

How do I find the right filter element?: By the range of the unit, its size or thread and the filtration fineness. For I3 and I8, there are 20 µm elements and finer 5 µm ones, for COMBIBLOC 40 and 5 µm; on FUTURA you choose by size 0, 1, 2 or 4.
When should I replace the filter element?: When the filter starts to restrict the flow and the pressure after it drops noticeably while air is drawn. Depressurise the unit before replacing it.
Does a part from one range fit another?: Choose the part for the range and size of your unit. Two parts fit two ranges: the B2UR-1 bracket (P2 and B2) and the N-OZ sight dome (I8 and I3 lubricators).
