An oil-lubricated compressor on wheels for the tradesman and the workshop where you need air every day, but not all day long. A single-cylinder L25P pump (1.8 kW, 270 l/min) or L30P pump (2.2 kW, 310 l/min) sits directly on the motor shaft, runs from an ordinary socket and fills the tank to 10 bar. You choose the tank to suit the tools: 24 l for stapling, inflating and blowing off, 50 l for an impact wrench and small spraying jobs, 90 l for a sander and a spray gun. Plus a compact twenty in a tubular frame for the building site. All six machines are in stock; we service the ABAC brand.

Which oil-lubricated compressor — two pumps, four tanks

The range fits together like a kit of parts: the smaller or the stronger pump, a smaller or a bigger tank, wheels or a frame.

All six machines are single-stage and rated at 10 bar, with direct drive at 2,850 rpm, a pressure switch, a pressure regulator, two gauges and a DN 7.2 quick coupling; the supply is 230 V / 50 Hz. Noise Lwa is the sound power level; at 4 m from the machine that corresponds to roughly 75 dB (L25P) and 77 dB (L30P) sound pressure.

Oil, accessories and service

The L25P and L30P pumps take ALTAIR PRO mineral oil; the capacity is roughly 200 ml, so even the quarter-litre bottle covers a change. The DN 7.2 quick coupling is the same standard as the hoses, guns and tools across our whole range. ABAC belongs to the Atlas Copco group and is one of the brands we repair in our own service workshop.

Frequently asked questions

Oil-lubricated or oil-free compressor — which is better for the workshop?

Oil-lubricated. An oil-lubricated pump wears less, will stand more hours and more cycles, and its pistons and valves last longer than on an oil-free one, which runs dry. The price is maintenance: you keep an eye on the level in the sight glass and change the oil now and then, and a trace of oil gets into the air — for inflating, stapling, tightening and blowing off that does not matter; for painting, a filter with a water separator belongs ahead of the gun. An oil-free machine makes sense where clean air matters more than service life.

Which oil, and how often should it be changed?

ALTAIR PRO mineral oil; the crankcase holds roughly 200 ml. You can see the level in the sight glass on the outside — check it before every use; change intervals and the procedure are shown in the manufacturer's videos once you scan the QR code on the tank with the AirTube app. After work, open the valve under the tank and drain the condensate so the tank does not rust from the inside.

Is 24 l enough, or do I need 50 l?

It depends on the tools. A stapler, a nailer, a tyre inflator and a blow gun take air in bursts — for those a 24 l oil-lubricated compressor is enough; the tank refills before you can empty it. An impact wrench on wheel nuts and short spraying jobs want the fifty, so the motor does not cut in after every pull of the trigger. A random orbital sander or a spray gun on a larger area runs continuously — for those there is the ninety-litre L30PN.

Will 1.8 kW or 2.2 kW keep up with air tools?

Tools with a burst draw, yes — both pumps will: nailers, staplers, ratchet wrenches, a tyre inflator, blowing off. The L25P will manage an impact wrench on wheel nuts with the fifty; the L30P does it more smoothly. A random orbital sander and a spray gun draw 200 to 300 l/min continuously, which is borderline for a single cylinder with 270–310 l/min of displacement — they work with breaks, best of all with the L30PN-2.2-90CM. A blast cabinet or all-day sanding calls for a bigger machine.

Why does a 2.2 kW compressor on 230 V trip the breaker?

Almost always because of the start-up, not the running: a 2.2 kW single-phase motor briefly draws several times its rated current on starting, and if there is a long thin extension lead on the circuit or a fan heater already running, the voltage drops and the breaker trips. Give the compressor a circuit of its own on a 16 A breaker and the shortest heavy-gauge lead you can, and let the tank vent before the next start — the switch does that by itself. Thermal overload protection is built into the motor.

Can I spray paint with the L25P or L30P?

Smaller areas, yes — a door, a frame, a piece of furniture — with the fifty and pauses to rebuild pressure, with the ninety more smoothly. A regulator with a filter and water separator belongs ahead of the gun, because an oil-lubricated compressor lets a trace of oil and condensate into the air. A car body or a fence calls for a machine with more displacement.

What is the difference between the L25P and the L30P?

The motor and the cylinder. The L25P has 1.8 kW and draws in 270 l/min, the L30P 2.2 kW and 310 l/min — 15% more air, a shorter fill time and a reserve for an impact wrench or a spray gun. Tanks, wheels, panel and dimensions are the same; the L30P is a kilo heavier and 2 dB louder. If you work with tools in bursts, you save with the L25P; if you want a reserve, take the L30P.

What do CM and RM in the code mean?

CM is the standard version: a horizontal tank on two wheels with a rubber foot and a handle — 24, 50 or 90 l. RM is the compact version for transport: a twenty-litre tank in a tubular frame on wheels that protects the pump and the gauges, with an extended handle. Output and pump are the same in both versions.

All values apply to a 230 V / 50 Hz supply. The machines are built for intermittent duty, not for continuous operation. All six are in stock; stock levels change daily.
