100 l

100 l air receivers and pressure vessels for air: eight vessels and two fittings kits. Vertical and horizontal 11-bar vessels, painted, hot-dip galvanised or in stainless steel, a fully equipped vessel with fittings, a vacuum vessel for −1 bar and two high-pressure vessels for 32 and 42 bar.

One hundred litres is the first size above the small vessels up to 50 l and the smallest volume in which fully equipped, vacuum and high-pressure vessels and fittings kits are made. As a pressure vessel for a compressor, the 100-litre size works well as an additional air receiver for a piston compressor or as an air reserve at a remote workstation. The horizontal VHP100-11 and the vacuum vessel are painted only; the vertical vessel, the fully equipped one and both high-pressure vessels are also made hot-dip galvanised. The stainless steel vessels are made of AISI304 or AISI316L steel.

When a 100 l air receiver is enough

A 100-litre vessel works well as an additional reserve for a piston compressor whose own tank is not enough, or as a buffer vessel at the end of a long air network, where the pressure drops when air is drawn off. The more air is drawn, and the more suddenly, the more a larger vessel pays off; the calculation method is in our advice centre on choosing an air receiver.

A vertical vessel fits next to the compressor or into a corner of the workshop; a horizontal one is low and can be tucked away under a workbench or on a shelf. Rubber vibration dampers belong under the legs and feet; the vessel is not bolted down rigidly.

Fittings kit or fully equipped vessel

For the vertical 100 l vessel rated for 11 bar, there are two ready-made kits: KVP100-11 for the painted version and KVG100-11 for the galvanised one, which also includes a reducer for the bottom connection. Both contain a safety valve set to 10.5 bar, a pressure gauge, two ball valves for the air inlet and outlet, a condensate drain valve and the mounting hardware.

The fully equipped vessel VVP2-100-11A has the same equipment already mounted and comes with TÜV certification of the pressure assembly. Both the kit and the fully equipped vessel are intended for compressors that cut out at no more than 10 bar. The horizontal, stainless steel, vacuum and high-pressure vessels are supplied without fittings; choose the parts for them according to their pressure and medium.

100-litre vessels for vacuum, high pressure and clean air

The vacuum vessel VVP100-V holds a vacuum down to −1 bar for a smaller vacuum pump, for example for suction cups or vacuum clamping; compressed air does not belong in it. It is made to the EN 286-1 standard and does not fall under the European directives for pressure vessels, which is why it does not bear the CE marking.

The high-pressure VVP100-32 and VVP100-42 are the smallest in their series: the 32-bar vessel belongs with a 30-bar compressor, the 42-bar vessel with a 40-bar compressor. They can also hold nitrogen, argon, helium, oil and oxygen, but not hydrogen.

The stainless steel VVS100-11 and VHS100-11 in AISI304 or AISI316L steel have no coating and can also take compressed air with water. On the vertical one, the AISI316L version has a different height and side connection positions, so plan the pipework only once you know the order code.

The painted, galvanised and fully equipped vessels are manufactured to Directive 2014/29/EU (SPVD), the stainless steel and high-pressure ones to Directive 2014/68/EU (PED). Which 100 l air receiver for a compressor up to 10 bar?

An 11-bar vessel: painted for dry, heated rooms, galvanised for damp conditions. A vertical one takes up less floor space; a horizontal one fits under a table.

Is a 100 l air receiver made for 16 bar?

No, 16-bar vessels start at a volume of 270 l. For a higher pressure, the only 100-litre vessels made are the high-pressure ones for 32 and 42 bar.

Is the 100 l pressure vessel also suitable for water?

Compressed air with water can be held by the stainless steel 100 l vessels, vertical and horizontal. The painted, galvanised and fully equipped vessels are intended for compressed air.

How do the horizontal and vertical 100 l air receivers for 11 bar differ?

The horizontal VHP100-11 is low and painted only; the vertical VVP2-100-11 is made painted and galvanised, and only it takes a fittings kit. They have the same volume and pressure.
