The B70-2x5.5-500FT has two cast-iron B70 pump units with 5.5 kW motors at 1,100 rpm — 2,046 l/min together into a horizontal 500 l tank at 11 bar; 105 dB Lwa and 85 dB at 4 m. For a truck tyre shop, sandblasting or a production shop, where one pump unit with 1,023 l/min handles an ordinary day and the second kicks in when all the workstations come together.
Why two B70s with 5.5 kW and not one B70 with 7.5 kW
One B70 pump unit with a 7.5 kW motor at 1,300 rpm gives 1,210 l/min; two B70 pump units with 5.5 kW motors at 1,100 rpm give 1,023 l/min each, 2,046 together. The slower drive means fewer piston strokes a minute; the timer relay starts the two motors one after the other, so the supply never has to take two motor starts at once. On the same 500 l tank and the same 2,030 × 670 mm footprint you therefore have 836 l/min more displacement and standby for service. If you want the B70 with longer runs at a stretch instead of frequent starts, take the version with 7.5 kW motors on a 900 l tank.

Where next if the B70-2x5.5-500FT is not the right fit
The tandem with B70 pump units with 7.5 kW and a 900 l tank is the B70-2x7.5-900FT; if a smaller displacement on a 500 will do, there is the B60 version, the B60-2x5.5-500FT. We carry a single B70 pump unit with 5.5 kW at 1,100 rpm as the B70-5.5-500FT with one pump unit, and one B70 with 7.5 kW as the B70-7.5-500FT with one pump unit. At the workstation a sandblasting gun needs a regulator with a filter.
Values apply to a 50 Hz supply. Air intake is the sum of the air drawn in by both pump units; how much of it reaches the tool depends on the pressure and the tank. Motor power is the sum of both motors. Noise is given as the sound power level Lwa and the sound pressure at 4 m from the machine. The dimensions are those of the machine without packaging. A piston compressor works in cycles (topping up the tank and pausing), not continuously.
