The B59B-2x4-500FT draws in 1,306 l/min with two cast-iron B59B pump units at 1,400 rpm, each with a 4 kW motor, and fills a horizontal 500 l tank to 11 bar; 100 dB Lwa, 80 dB at 4 m. For a metalworking or joinery shop where everyone depends on the air: in slack periods one pump unit runs, at the peak both, and during an oil change the workshop carries on.
Why two B59B pump units instead of one B70
One B70 pump unit with 7.5 kW gives 1,210 l/min — almost the same as two B59Bs together. The difference is in how the displacement is used: on a tandem the second motor joins in only for the peak, and for the rest of the shift the machine runs with half the displacement, 653 l/min, and one 4 kW motor. When one pump unit is being serviced, the other keeps the workshop going. On a 500 l tank with a footprint of 2,030 × 670 mm the machine takes up the same room as a single-unit 500; the air leaves through a ball valve into the pipework, and the regulator with a filter belongs at the workstation.

Where next if the B59B-2x4-500FT is not the right fit
The same 4 kW motors, but with the bigger B60 pump units at 1,100 rpm, go into the B60-2x4-500FT; more air from the same tank comes from the 5.5 kW motors of the B60-2x5.5-500FT. The same tank with a single B59B is the B59B-4-500FT with one pump unit. Values apply to a 50 Hz supply. Air intake is the sum of the air drawn in by both pump units; how much of it reaches the tool depends on the pressure and the tank. Motor power is the sum of both motors. Noise is given as the sound power level Lwa and the sound pressure at 4 m from the machine. The dimensions are those of the machine without packaging. A piston compressor works in cycles (topping up the tank and pausing), not continuously.
