Product detailed description
ABAC Tech ATH · 20 bar · on frameEntry into the twenty-bar range. The ATH-1,5/20-BT is a two-stage unit on a steel frame, delivering 126 l/min at a full 20 bar and able to run continuously. It has no tank of its own, so it connects to a piped distribution system or to an air receiver you already have in operation — but that receiver must be certified for twenty bar.
Why a two-stage machine
Compressing to twenty bar in a single stage isn't possible: the discharge temperature would exceed the limit that the oil and valves can withstand. ATH therefore compresses in two steps: the low-pressure cylinder pre-compresses the air, the intercooler removes heat from it, and the high-pressure cylinder compresses it up to the operating pressure. That's why this machine delivers 126 l/min at a full 20 bar out of the 204 l/min intake.
A frame without a tank makes sense where you already have an air supply — a main air receiver in the plant room or a sufficiently long piped distribution system. If you don't have a tank rated for twenty bar, it's simpler to choose the version on an air receiver, where a certified tank is part of the assembly.
Equipment and details

Where to go next if the ATH-1,5/20-BT doesn't suit you
A complete assembly with a ninety-litre tank is the ATH-1,5/20-90FT, and the ATH-2,2/20-BT delivers almost fifty litres more. The complete overview is in the overview of the whole category, and for five bar less look into the 15 bar range.
Delivery is the amount of air the machine delivers at an operating pressure of 20 bar; intake is the volume drawn in by the low-pressure cylinder. Noise level is given as the sound power level Lwa from the nameplate and as sound pressure at 4 m from the machine. Performance data according to ISO 1217, Annex C, noise level according to ISO 2151.
Ventilek's advice
The smallest machine in the range still isn't a small compressor — it's an industrial two-stage unit for continuous operation. And watch out for the distribution system: the piping, fittings, and hoses must withstand twenty bar too, not just the compressor.

The company ABAC has been one of the most important manufacturers of piston compressors on the world market since its establishment in 1980 . Currently, the brand ABAC is owned by ATLAS COPCO, the largest compressor manufacturer in the world and is part of the multinational group PAD (Professional Air Division). The goal of the ABAC brand is to become a world leader in the development, production and sale of piston compressors.

Production at company ABAC
ABAC compressors are manufactured in 5 production centers around the world, with an annual production of almost 2 million compressors. The brand's parent plant ABAC in Turin, Italy employs around 250 employees and is primarily focused on the design and production of professional V-belt compressors with a daily production capacity of over 600 machines. The ABAC plant also has extensive warehouse facilities with several thousand compressors available for immediate delivery.

Innovative concept
ABAC does not only mean compressor production. We are directly involved in the development of key innovations and advanced solutions and set trends in the compressor market. The efforts of our designers have resulted in, for example, an aerodynamic pulley housing for temperature reduction of up to 35°C, the revolutionary XPAND hose reel compressor or the PRO LINE ZERO oil-free compressors with V-belts. In the ABAC program you will always find the most modern and unique solution for compressed air production on the market.

A modern solution
We are a modern company that is aware of the current trends around us. We are bringing advanced technologies to the compressor industry, such as the use of QR codes and the AIR TUBE app to make it easier for the user of our compressor to access the information they need. We use social media, chat and multimedia instead of traditional marketing and documentation formats. With compressors ABAC you will always have convenient access to all the necessary information.

Compressor program
In the supplier program of the ABAC brand you will find 100%. The basic range includes 100% from small portable compressors for home applications to larger stationary compressors for permanent deployment.
