Product detailed description
ABAC Tech ATH · 20 bar · 546 l/minThe most efficient machine in the entire category. ATH-7,5/20-BTX delivers 546 l/min at a full 20 bar from an intake of 780 l/min — that's roughly 70% of the intake volume, which a single-stage machine cannot achieve even at half the pressure. Two-stage unit, S1-rated motor for continuous duty, star-delta starting.
How much of the intake air the machine actually delivers
The ratio of discharge to intake volume is not the same across the whole category: the smallest machine delivers 62% of the intake volume, this one 70%, and the strongest fifteen-kilowatt unit 63%. Units around five to seven kilowatts come out best. When choosing, therefore, compare discharge, not intake — otherwise you'll end up with a different machine than you need.
The frame-mounted version is 102 kg lighter than the same machine on a 270-liter air receiver and takes up less than two-thirds of the length. However, it assumes you already have your air supply sorted out.
Equipment and details
What the ATH-7,5/20-BTX comes with from the factory
- two-stage oil-lubricated unit with two V-shaped cylinders, 1,500 rpm
- 7.5 kW motor in S1 mode, i.e. 100% duty cycle without cooling breaks
- direct drive without belts — the unit sits directly on the motor
- mounted on a steel support frame without an air receiver — air goes to the distribution network or to your own tank
- electric motor 400/50 V/Hz, three-phase supply, star-delta starting
- intake 780 l/min, delivery 546 l/min at an operating pressure of 20 bar
- intercooler between the low-pressure and high-pressure cylinder, stainless steel valves
- crankshaft bearings factory-filled with grease for the entire service life
- weight 121 kg, dimensions 1,073 × 693 × 761 mm; noise level 101 dB Lwa, 81 dB at 4 m
- 2-year warranty

Where to go next if the ATH-7,5/20-BTX doesn't fit
The same machine on an air receiver is the ATH-7,5/20-270FTX, a smaller one is the ATH-5,5/20-BTX, and stronger ones are the ATH-11/20-BTX and ATH-15/20-BTX. The full overview is in the overview of the entire category, and five bar lower in the 15 bar line.
Delivery is the amount of air the machine delivers at an operating pressure of 20 bar; intake is the volume drawn in by the low-pressure cylinder. Noise level is given as the sound power level Lwa from the nameplate and as sound pressure at 4 m from the machine. Performance data according to ISO 1217, Annex C, noise level according to ISO 2151.
Ventilek advises
Seven and a half kilowatts at twenty bar means a lot of heat. The engine room needs to be ventilated — not because of noise, but so the machine has something to cool itself with.

The company ABAC has been one of the most important manufacturers of piston compressors on the world market since its establishment in 1980 . Currently, the brand ABAC is owned by ATLAS COPCO, the largest compressor manufacturer in the world and is part of the multinational group PAD (Professional Air Division). The goal of the ABAC brand is to become a world leader in the development, production and sale of piston compressors.

Production at company ABAC
ABAC compressors are manufactured in 5 production centers around the world, with an annual production of almost 2 million compressors. The brand's parent plant ABAC in Turin, Italy employs around 250 employees and is primarily focused on the design and production of professional V-belt compressors with a daily production capacity of over 600 machines. The ABAC plant also has extensive warehouse facilities with several thousand compressors available for immediate delivery.

Innovative concept
ABAC does not only mean compressor production. We are directly involved in the development of key innovations and advanced solutions and set trends in the compressor market. The efforts of our designers have resulted in, for example, an aerodynamic pulley housing for temperature reduction of up to 35°C, the revolutionary XPAND hose reel compressor or the PRO LINE ZERO oil-free compressors with V-belts. In the ABAC program you will always find the most modern and unique solution for compressed air production on the market.

A modern solution
We are a modern company that is aware of the current trends around us. We are bringing advanced technologies to the compressor industry, such as the use of QR codes and the AIR TUBE app to make it easier for the user of our compressor to access the information they need. We use social media, chat and multimedia instead of traditional marketing and documentation formats. With compressors ABAC you will always have convenient access to all the necessary information.

Compressor program
In the supplier program of the ABAC brand you will find 100%. The basic range includes 100% from small portable compressors for home applications to larger stationary compressors for permanent deployment.
