Our range offers two kinds of machine with a 300 litre tank: eight WALTER screw compressors rated at 5.5 and 7.5 kW, and the cast-iron ATMOS Perfect 4T/300 piston compressor — on its own or as a package with a dryer. They supply 500 to 1,150 litres of air per minute.

WALTER screw compressors on 300 l

With an inverter or at fixed speed

The eight WALTER screw machines have the compressor unit in a soundproof cabinet mounted directly on a horizontal 300 l air tank. With 5.5 or 7.5 kW they supply 850 to 1,150 l/min and are built for 8, 10 or 13 bar. The WALTER SFTG KSP range has an inverter that matches motor speed to demand; the WALTER SKTG SP range runs at fixed speed with a belt drive.

COMBO with a dryer

Half of them come in the COMBO version with a built-in refrigerant dryer — compressor, dryer and tank in one unit that supplies dry air straight away. A screw machine is worth it where air is drawn for most of the shift.

Cast-iron three-cylinder pump

The pump with three cast-iron cylinders is belt-driven at low speed, so it heats up less and copes with long working hours. A pressure of 12.5 bar leaves a margin for pipework that must still provide enough pressure for tools at its far end, and the same tank holds more air than with a 10 bar machine. Why three cylinders? Package with dryer and filtration

The SAP4T/300 package adds a refrigerant dryer and filters to the same compressor, so it supplies dry, clean air straight away — for spray painting, pneumatic components and anywhere water in the pipework would cause trouble. Other machines of the same range, with tanks from 90 to 500 l, are under ATMOS Perfect.

Looking for 300 l or 300 l/min?

Tank volume is often confused with performance. A ‘300 l/min’ compressor is a machine that supplies 300 litres of air per minute — that is the output of twin-cylinder machines with 2.2 to 3 kW, found mainly among compressors with 150 and 200 l tanks. A compressor’s performance is always read from its air output, never from the tank size.

A 300 l tank on its own

We do not offer a separate air tank of exactly 300 l. The nearest are 270 and 500 l tanks, which you will find among our pressure tanks from 100 to 720 l. A wider choice of compressors comes with a 270 l tank, and all sizes can be compared under air compressors.

Frequently asked questions

Screw or piston 300 l compressor?

For air drawn over most of the shift, a WALTER screw machine — with an inverter where consumption varies during the day. For intermittent work in a workshop, the ATMOS Perfect 4T/300 piston machine with 12.5 bar is enough.

Does a 12.5 bar compressor need special pipework?

Pipework, hoses and couplings must be rated for this pressure. Standard workshop equipment rated at 15 bar is fine.

Is a 300 l compressor mobile?

The ATMOS Perfect piston machine is: it stands on wheels, and the SAP4T/300 package with dryer weighs 195 kg, so it takes two people to move it around the workshop. The WALTER screw machines are stationary and weigh 326 to 369 kg.
