    Cash on delivery with the GEIS shipping company

    • You can expect an email or SMS notification about the delivery of your shipment.
    • On the day of delivery, an SMS with a specified delivery time.
    • If the courier does not catch you at home, they will try again the next day and contact you again.
    • You can track the shipment's journey at https://www.geis-group.cz/en/track-and-trace.
    • If home delivery doesn't suit you, the shipment can be sent to a GEIS point and picked up there. Redirection is done here: https://www.baliky.cz/
    • The goods can be paid for by card upon delivery.

    GLS (General Logistics Systems)

    The GLS carrier guarantees fast and safe delivery of the shipment, usually within 24 hours throughout the Czech Republic. GLS also provides a cash on delivery service. You can also choose the GLS cash on delivery service if you want to send goods to Slovakia, Croatia, Hungary, Romania, and Slovenia. From these countries, the amount is usually credited to the sender's account within seven to eight working days; here in the Czech Republic, it takes about two days. The cash on delivery amount must not exceed the value of 60,000 CZK. The delivery driver will hand over the parcel to you after it is paid for.

    On the morning of the delivery day, you will receive a text message that you should expect the GLS carrier with your shipment. The text message contains the phone number of the driver delivering your shipment. It's no problem to call them about anything – especially regarding the delivery time. It's best if the driver meets you at a pre-arranged place and hands over the parcel in person. You will then confirm with your signature that the delivery of the parcel was successful and that you have received it. Another member of your household can also receive the parcel for you. As mentioned above, handing over the shipment is conditional upon the payment of the cash on delivery amount by the recipient directly to the GLS courier. Payment is possible in cash and, since July 1, 2015, also cashless, using a payment card.

    In case the GLS carrier does not reach you, you will receive an email or text message informing you of the unsuccessful delivery attempt, or the driver will call you directly. You will then choose which option for a re-delivery attempt is most optimal for you.

    A neighbor can also take over the parcel for you, but again, with the simultaneous payment for the shipment. If none of the neighbors can take your parcel, GLS will return it to the regional depot and make a second and third delivery attempt on subsequent working days.

    Cash on delivery with the DPD shipping company

    • DPD guarantees that the shipment will be with you by the 2nd working day from our pickup.

    • The time and place of delivery can be changed in the app.

    • It is no problem to pay by card at pickup points, but often also with the courier. You will see the payment options after logging into the DPD Courier app.
    • On the day of delivery, you can expect an SMS with an hourly interval in which the courier will arrive.
