30 bar air compressors
Thirty bar is the highest pressure in our range and the top of the ABAC Tech ATH series. All six machines are a pump and motor on a base frame — you supply your own thirty-bar pressure tank. They compress in two stages, have direct drive and a motor power of 2.2 to 15 kW.

What to know in advance
A tank for thirty bar
None of the 30 bar machines has an air tank. The tank must be your own, designed and inspected for thirty bar — a 10, 15 or 20 bar air tank cannot be connected. The entire system, including the safety valve, must be rated the same way.
Output by motor power
Output does not rise evenly with motor power: going from 7.5 to 11 kW adds three and a half kilowatts, but the output only climbs from 510 to 558 l/min. The breakthrough comes at 15 kW with 1,020 l/min. The full table of machines is on the range page ABAC Tech ATH 30 bar.
How to reach thirty bar
A single stage cannot do it, even in theory — the discharge temperature would be beyond the limits of the oil and valves. The pump therefore has two cylinders in series: the larger one pre-compresses the air, the intercooler cools it and the smaller one takes it up to thirty bar. The principle is described in our article Two-stage compressors: higher efficiency for industry.
Lower pressures
If twenty bar is enough, you can also choose machines mounted directly on an air tank — see 20 bar air compressors. Lower-pressure machines for workshops and industry are in our overview of air compressors.
Frequently asked questions
- Do you sell 200 or 300 bar compressors?
- No. The highest pressure in our range is 30 bar. Compressors for filling scuba cylinders and PCP air rifles work at a different pressure and are different machines.
- Why do 30 bar compressors have no tank?
- A thirty-bar tank is chosen to suit the application and must have its own certification and inspections. That is why the manufacturer supplies only the pump and motor on a frame.

List of products
Eleven kilowatts on a base frame. Against the 7.5 kW machine it adds only nine per cent of air, but runs more easily and is 39 kg heavier.
The strongest machine of the category: fifteen kilowatts and over a thousand litres of air per minute at thirty bar. Twice what the eleven-kilowatt machine gives.
The smallest machine of the category. The only one that starts directly — from four kilowatts up star-delta is a must.
Four kilowatts on a base frame. The first machine of the category where the manufacturer softens the current peak at start-up with star-delta starting.
Five and a half kilowatts on a base frame. Of all the machines in the category it gives back the largest share of the air it draws in — two thirds.
Seven and a half kilowatts on a base frame. The last machine before output gets expensive — the eleven-kilowatt one adds only nine per cent of air.
