Silent Line LN · dryer · star-deltaCalm running, dry air and a soft start. B59-4-500L2TXD is the same machine as B59-4-500L2TD, only with star-delta starting — the motor runs up in two steps, so the current surge at start-up is gentler. It gives 570 l/min at 11 bar and stays at 87 dB Lwa.
Why star-delta starting
On a direct start a three-phase motor draws a current surge several times its rated current. Star-delta starting splits that into two steps: the winding is first connected in star at a lower voltage, and once the motor is up to speed it switches to delta. It pays off where the supply is weak or long, where the breaker trips at start-up, or where the machine cuts in many times an hour.
In everything else the machine behaves like the directly started version: the slowed pump gives 570 l/min instead of the 653 l/min the open Pro Line version manages, and instead of 97 dB Lwa it comes out at 87 dB. The dryer in the cabinet holds a pressure dew point of +7 °C.
