Silent Line LN · dryer · 5.5 kW with Y-DFive and a half kilowatts with regard for the wiring. B60-5.5-500L2TXD is the same machine as B60-5.5-500L2TD, only with star-delta starting. The motor runs up in two steps, so the current surge at start-up is gentler. It gives 660 l/min at 11 bar and holds 88 dB Lwa.
Why a soft start on a five-and-a-half-kilowatt motor
The stronger the motor, the higher the current surge on a direct start. At 5.5 kW it can already trip the breaker or make the voltage sag across the whole workshop — and that is not ideal with a dryer that has its own refrigeration circuit. Star-delta starting solves it by connecting the winding in star first and switching to delta once the motor is up to speed.
In everything else the machine matches the directly started version: a two-stage B60 pump at 1,150 rpm, 660 l/min, 11 bar, 404 kg and 88 dB Lwa against the 102 dB and 827 l/min the same pump has in the open Pro Line version.

Intake is the volume of air the pump draws in. Noise is given as the sound power level Lwa and as the sound pressure at 4 m from the machine. The pressure dew point applies to the rated conditions stated by the manufacturer. A piston compressor works in cycles, not without a break.
