The B70-5.5-500CT has the B70 pump with a 5.5 kW motor at 1,100 rpm, 1,023 l/min and a horizontal 500 l tank at 11 bar — a reserve for a workstation where a grinder, a gun and blowing off draw air at once, and yet a machine that moves to another bay by the handle.
Why a 500 on castors with the B70
The 500 holds the reserve, the B70 pump keeps topping it up with 1,023 l/min, and from the second quick coupling another hose can run at the same time. The pump at 1,100 rpm instead of 1,300 does fewer strokes per minute and runs cooler — that is the whole point of the low-speed version on a machine that cuts in throughout the shift. The castors with brakes and the handle make it a machine for the hall, not for the compressor room; if you want to set it up for good by the pipework, the same set-up comes on feet. In a hall with grinders, count on 102 dB Lwa, 82 dB at 4 m.

The same set-up on feet for the compressor room is the B70-5.5-500FT; the shorter machine with the same pump is the B70-5.5-270CT. If you want the full 1,210 l/min on a 500, take the standard B70-7.5-500FT; its siblings on castors are in the standard B59B to B70 range. Upstream of a spray gun goes a regulator with a filter at the workstation.
Values apply to a 400 V / 50 Hz supply. Air intake is the amount of air the pump draws in; how much of it reaches the tool depends on the pressure and the tank. Noise is given as the sound power level Lwa and the sound pressure at 4 m from the machine. A piston compressor works in cycles (topping up the tank and pausing), not continuously.

For a paint shop with long spraying I would take the standard B70-7.5 with full displacement; this one belongs in a hall where air is drawn throughout the shift and the draw is not at the limit.
