B59B · dryer +3 °C · 500 l · 653 l/min · direct-on-line startThe smallest motor of the range on the big tank. The B59B-4-500FTD pairs the 4 kW B59B pump and its 653 l/min with a horizontal 500 l tank at 11 bar and a refrigerant dryer on the tank that brings the moisture down to a pressure dew point of +3 °C. The motor starts direct-on-line; noise 97 dB Lwa, 77 dB at 4 m. For a workshop where one gun or sandblasting draws air in bursts and the smaller pump has time in between to top the tank up at its own pace.
Why a small motor and the 500
The tank does not add displacement — it stays at 653 l/min — but it holds a reserve: a spray gun or a blasting nozzle draws air evenly from the 500 l tank at 11 bar and the B59B pump tops it up in the meantime. The motor starts less often than with a small tank, and the air has time to cool in the tank, so some of the water already drops out there, before the dryer. An ordinary workshop supply copes with the direct-on-line start of the 4 kW motor. If you draw air for two people at once or blast whole parts, you need the bigger B60 or B70 pump with the 500; if you draw air in bursts, the 270 l tank will do.

Values apply to a 400 V / 50 Hz supply. Air intake is the amount of air the pump draws in; how much of it reaches the tool depends on the pressure and the tank. Noise is given as the sound power level Lwa and the sound pressure at 4 m from the machine. The pressure dew point of +3 °C applies at the working pressure of the machine. A piston compressor works in cycles (topping up the tank and pausing), not continuously.
