WALTER WK430P-PLATE cast iron compressor unit on base frame
WK430P-PLATE is a standalone cast iron unit with an electric motor on a base frame – supplied without a pressure vessel. The 2V twin-cylinder with a 2.2 kW (3 HP) power input has an intake of 420 l/min, delivers 340 l/min to the distribution system at 10 bar, and runs at 1 276 rpm. 400 V / 50 Hz power supply, V-belt drive, noise level approx. 80 dB(A), 3-year warranty after registration at waltercesko.cz.
It is purchased in two scenarios: either the unit on an otherwise healthy compressor has reached the end of its life and the vessel has a valid inspection, or you are building your own assembly – a soundproof cabinet, a mobile unit, or a second source for an existing distribution system. You are responsible for the vessel, pressure switch, fusing, and inspections; we will be happy to confirm the exact scope of delivery by telephone, as the connection to an existing assembly is always individual.

Why choose this model
It is the lowest power class of WALTER units on a base frame. If you have an older compressor with a functional vessel but a worn-out unit, you only replace the part that wears out – the vessel, wheels, frame, and distribution remain yours. This is a completely different consideration than purchasing an entire new machine.
The number 430 in the designation represents the intake; 340 l/min will flow into your vessel. This corresponds to one tool in intermittent operation: blow-gun, ratchet, stapler, or pneumatic drill. Select the vessel size accordingly – for 340 l/min, approximately 130 to 215 l is suitable, practically a 200 l vessel; count on 100 l only for purely intermittent operation.
This is the highest value in the entire range – common to the whole 2.2 kW class – and it is information you should have beforehand: this unit is designed for intermittent work, not for continuous operation. If you are building a source that is intended to run for hours at a time, go up one or two classes, where the rpm drops significantly.
The unit on a base frame can be placed on anti-vibration pads, installed in a separate room or inside a cabinet, with the tank positioned elsewhere. This ensures that noise and heat remain where they do not cause interference. A sufficient supply of cooling air to the finned unit is required.

Transport and Commissioning
The machine is delivered on a pallet. Before the first start, check the oil level, direction of rotation, and the tightness of connections; after the first 8 hours of operation, tighten the cylinder head bolts to a torque of 25 Nm. Leave the electrical connection to a professional — for three-phase machines, it is necessary to verify the correct phase sequence.
