WALTER WK1500P-PLATE cast iron compressor unit on a base frame
WK1500P-PLATE is the most powerful standalone unit in the WALTER range. The 4V four-cylinder cast iron design with a power input of 7.5 kW (10 HP) has an intake of 1 500 l/min, delivers 1,100 l/min to the distribution system at 10 bar, and runs at just 768 rpm. It is supplied on a base frame without a pressure vessel, with a 400 V / 50 Hz power supply, V-belt drive, noise level of approx. 80 dB(A), and a 3-year warranty upon registration at waltercesko.cz.
In the 7.5 kW class, a unit without a tank is often more practical than a complete machine – a full compressor with a 500 l tank is a bulky item that must be placed somewhere in the hall, whereas the unit and tank can be positioned separately. Another typical reason for purchase is the replacement of a worn-out unit on a large machine where the tank has a valid inspection and it makes no sense to discard it.

The lowest speed of all ten-bar machines in the range, with compression divided among four cylinders in two V-pairs. The smoother operation is evident in the bearings and distribution joints in a setup without a tank.
Vertical versions do not exist in this class, and a complete horizontal machine with a 500 l tank takes up a significant amount of floor space. The unit on a frame allows you to place the tank against a wall, in a corner, in an adjacent room, or under a shelter, leaving only the distribution in the working zone.
A pressure vessel with a valid inspection is a costly item that wears down incomparably slower than the piston group. Therefore, when a unit on a large machine has reached the end of its life, replacing only the working part is a more economical route than a new compressor – furthermore, the cast iron cylinder liner is machinable and the rings are replaceable.

Transport and Commissioning
The machine is delivered on a pallet. Before the first start, check the oil level, direction of rotation, and the tightness of connections; after the first 8 hours of operation, tighten the cylinder head bolts to a torque of 25 Nm. Leave the electrical connection to a professional — for three-phase machines, it is necessary to verify the correct phase sequence.
